Improve your Recorder Sight Reading Practise!

Hugh Gorton publishes sight reading practise books for descant and treble recorder at  www.recordermusic.co.uk. They are split based on the grades of English Examining Colleges, eg. ABRSM, Trinity/Guildhall London, London College of Music etc.

relaunched their website just recently. Information about  Mollenhauer instruments, the museum of the recorder in Fulda, repair services for all kinds of recorders are available from the newly arranged homepage.

The Society of Recorder Players (UK)

A group including Edgar Hunt and Carl Dolmetsch, pioneers of the 20th-century revival of the recorder, founded the Society in 1937. It promotes the recorder as a serious instrument, contributes to the raising of standards, and provides opportunities for playing to all. There are now 51 branches throughout the UK, affiliated Recorder Orchestras and Corporate Members. Members take part in regular recorder playing under skilled directors in branches and in chamber ensembles, and give public performances throughout the country. Educational activities include branch junior sections and workshops. The Society publishes regular news in The Recorder Magazine. [ More information...]
